Vernon Neilly 's 'Don’t Cry' is another prime display of his guitar god powers! 'Don’t Cry' weeps with soulful nylon guitar fret work. His lead melody lines are second to none. Every note will penetrate your senses leaving you gasping for more. 'Lumi's Song' from Brazilin guitar madman Miguel Mega is another smashing jazzy sensation. Miguel's playing is very tasteful and ear pleasing. His bendy bluesy approach to jazz is very unique and sets him apart from the other players on the cd. Miguel also stands out as the 'shredder' on this release because his of his blazing runs and arpeggios. I wasn't expecting arpeggios on a jazz cd Miguel! Mark Whitfield's 'Smoov Soul' is a playful chrody jazz number with catchy hooks. Mark has is well known in the jazz world and it’s easy to see why. 'Unconditional Love' from Kevin Chokan is vocal number with heartfelt guitar accents; he blends speedy nylon guitar jabs with abundant melodies. Another G-Fire favorite is 'Afternoon Drive' ( Vernon Neilly ) for its upbeat and infectious guitar hook line and sinkers. Vernon has a knack for guitar tone.
