Wide Interval Licks

One of the most challenging things to work on when practicing is employing wide-stretched licks into your playing
Your fingers aren't made to naturally stretch as far as some of the upcoming licks will require . For that reason it's extremely
important to practice slowly and gradually build up speed. You will find some some of these examples stretch a whole-step and a half between 2 fingers.
Have fun they can be very rewarding with enough patience (and coffee). Alternate picking or only pick the first note on each string this example is grouped in segments of 8 for the full warbling effect.

This is an interesting idea. I string skip a 3 not per string phrase and hybrid pick the bottom note B . If you can repeat this
in rapid succession it creates a really blistering arp . Far from the convention pattern and much easier to phrase with.

For an even bigger challenge I added a series of more 3 notes per string pentatonics
on the E. Climb your way up to that high B again. Way better better control on your apreggios this way

Get ready to tie your fingers into knots. The lick has a diminished tonality but has to be worked on
by picking the first note, hammering the second and pulling off to the third.
You can use this to work on any 3 notes per string shape. Try and work on making it as smoothe as possible

Try repeating this lick in rapid succession for a really insane outside lick Make sure you pick only the first note hammer-on the rest and pluck that G on the E string with your middle finger like hybrid picking. Also be sure to barre the D and G with your pinky finger
for maximum speed and ease.

A repeated Augmented lick that stretches 2 whole steps between each finger (1st, 2nd, and last finger)

A pentatonic lick with a twist. Make sure on this one that you use 3rd,2nd,and 1st for everything except when you stretch to the High C,. then use your 4th finger. That would make it 2 whole steps and a half
when you reach for it.

Heres a strange Gypsy Lick . I only pick the first note of each phrase on each string. I use the same fingering for the whole lick. 1st, 2nd, and 4th finger .
