     What an all-star CD, with so many different styles of music from Hard Rock, instrumental guitar, R&B, Blues, Pop and lots more.  The CD is packed with riffs, licks and everything in between.  It's a great CD if your looking for variety or looking to find out what your favorite rock star's pickups are.  Inside the CD, you can find a listing of what pickups, amps, and guitars each guitarist used on that track.  Pretty cool your thinking, but there's more!  You get to check out one of California's hottest guitarists and fellow Seymour Duncan endorser Vernon Neilly. 

     Vernon Neilly's track "Nassau Nights" was the biggest surprises on the CD.  Seeing this is a guitar driven CD, he hits ya with a Latin groove dance song, mixed with some tasteful and soulful guitar shredding.  I know what your saying, how could this be?  Well, Vernon pulled it off and his playing is smoking.  He plays some great clean nylon string acoustic lines in between the verses and chorus or "Where's the Party at Boys" lyric lines.  Time to hit the dance floor that's for sure.  Vernon's playing is very clean and all the notes are crisply played.  Neilly pays special attention to note accents in this song, giving his lines emphasis.  The main guitar line is very catchy and will be one that sticks in your head.  He gave a superb performance on this track with his smooth Latin guitar playing.  Vernon is a very well practiced musician, and after hearing this song you can tell why he's always involved in so many music related projects; from guest appearances, session work and live shows, Vernon does it all.  A jack of all trades you might say.  Vernon has a very broad playing style being able to play all types of music.  I have to admit, I'm very interested and eager to hear other works from Vernon, I can just imagine what he other CDs sound like.  He is a killer guitar player and injects in a shot of R&B flavor into his playing.  For more info on Vernon and his other works visit his record label's website at www.boosweet.com.  Visit Vernon's MP3.com site at http://www.mp3.com/ven.
