Jarle Olsen -Osiris Demo

    Jarle Olsen is a very talented guitarist from Bergen, Norway and has submitted one of the most creative demos I've had the chance to review here at The Shred Zone.com. His playing is very mysterious and melodic. This one song demo really stood of from the rest of the demos we get here. "Osiris" blends many different styles of shred guitar playing. I noticed a Vinnie Moore vibe in his playing style that's for sure. Along with that, his backing rhythms are very complex and create a whole atmosphere of sound. Jarle's guitar tone is amazing as well, every note is clear and crisp and drenched with effects that make it scream and cry at the same time. This track dives in to all realms of shred guitar playing, with speed licks, arpeggios, melodic bending, and catchy phrasing. This song is very dark as well, and Jarle's vibe is amazing! I really have to commend him for such an amazing performance. He can really write a tune that will hold your interest and keep your attention the whole time. I found myself getting lost in his playing, listening for every note and what was to follow. Jarle Olsen is a guitarist that every one should check out. I can't wait to hear more material from this shred head. And its safe to say that Jarle Olsen gets the BEST DEMO SUBMISSION OF 2002 here at The Shred Zone. Hats off to Jarle for such a killer performance and a truly inspirational song.
